We are seeking an experienced, analytical, self- motivated Logistics Manager to continually develop and execute the transportation & distribution strategy for the Americas driving our focus on cost control and containment, superior customer service and execution excellence. This critical San Diego based role is responsible for analyzing operational performance and proposing initiatives that explore cost savings, improved service and efficiency in addition to maintaining key data sources that support operational execution and excellence. Deliverables include optimal utilization of freight and warehousing as well as customer response .The successful candidate will be responsible for the movement of inventory and the delivery of the product to the customers’ place of business.


      • Responsible for the development and implementation of economical and efficient distribution and transportation services for supply chain customers.
      • Develop opportunities to reduce transportation and warehousing costs by partnering  with materials planning, manufacturing, customer relations, sales, and marketing
      • Teach the organization new and innovative ways of accomplishing key objectives utilizing experience and cutting edge industry thinking and practice.
      • Develop strategies to coordinate with the sales and customer relations team to meet increasingly complex customer delivery needs.
      • Develop standard metrics to monitor performance of the distribution and transportation network,  publish results and develop and lead plans for continuous improvement.          
      • Conduct on-site warehouse performance audits.
      • Analyze data and make recommendations related to performance of customer orders, transportation, manufacturing, and warehousing sites throughout the network in regards to productivity, capacity, schedule attainment, costs, deductions, compliance to QC standards.
      • Streamline processes and increase data integrity as well as develop recommendations to drive the implementation process.
      • Owns Sarbanes-Oxley processes by  updating process narratives and flowcharts , notifying key individuals of control process and/or changes, failures and inconsistencies as well as continue process improvement to move towards a balance between the needs of Sarbanes-Oxley and business efficiency.
      •  Audits month end financial analysis and control  and maintain financial tasks throughout the month to facilitate month end close (i.e. code invoices, establish and maintain auto voucher processes)
      •  Ensure the accuracy of the tables in Innatrack that drive operations functions including: Item Master, Location Master, Plant Calendar, Warehouse Accessorial Charges, Carrier Master, EDI 210 transportation invoices and other tables as identified.





Minimum Requirements

  • 5-+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong problem solving, change management, analysis and process orientation ability
  • Proven success in leading a warehousing & transportation function
  •  Knowledge of warehousing best practices in terms of picking, put-away, shipping and receiving.  
  • Consumer goods experience with our customers or similar customers
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Admin or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering preferred
  • Certified by professional associations and ongoing education in Supply Chain management research and education


Travel - approximately 5-10%
