Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our small FP&A supporting the Americas’ trading bloc. The successful candidate will be business savvy and bring to the table 5 or more years finance experience supporting internal business partners including those in the supply chain, sales and marketing teams.

 

This position partners with internal customers at all levels across the U.S., Canada and Latin America to provide business financial modeling to support leadership decision making as well providing routine and ad hoc financial analysis. In addition, this position champions and supports the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes as well as management reporting.

Responsibilities

  

  1. Independently construct moderate to complex financial models to analyze the impact of current and proposed company initiatives. In addition, analyze, assess and report the overall impact of new and potential business initiatives.
  2. Lead the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for assigned business and/or functional units. Develop and maintain forecast and budget as well as supports the identification and prioritization of capital asset requests. Frequently consults with members of the functional unit to gain information and insight, and influence results that maximize EBITDA.
  3. Develop and maintain reports to management that provide visibility to financial results and trends. Analyzes financial results, forecasts, and plans and prepares material for business reviews and results presentations to senior leadership.
  4. Drive continuous process improvements and best practices across the finance team and broader organization to enhance the effectiveness as well as efficiency of reporting and planning processes. Maximize productivity by automating reports, utilizing financial systems and processes, as appropriate.
  5. Develops effective business partnerships to support management decision making and resource allocation. Provides insightful business analysis by leveraging data and solid financial modeling skills.

Qualifications

      • 5+ years senior financial analysis experience in support of business unit (including cost of goods analysis).
      • Consumer product goods industry or similar experience preferred.
      • Ability to independently conceive and construct moderate to complex financial models.
      • Skilled in the identification and analysis of business trends.
      • 3+ years leading the forecasting process for assigned business units.
      • Demonstrated experience successfully acting as an internal consultant and educator, providing ongoing guidance and formal financial internal training to business partners.
      • Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX regulations.
      • Advanced Excel, knowledge of Financial Reporting and BI systems, or similar financial reporting, forecasting and planning applications. Unicom Finance and Cognos BI experience a plus.
      • Bachelor Degree in business Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics. MBA, highly desirable
