  • Overview

    The primary responsibility for this role is to design, optimize and administer of our global Quality Management System (QMS), MasterControl. Supporting the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe teams, the QMS Guru will champion functionality, documentation and create efficiencies while ensuring internal and external document compliance is well in hand. In addition, this role will manage our external customer call center relationship, software and reporting (Wilke-Thorton). This role is fortunate enough to report to our very talented Director of Global Field Quality.

    1. Responsible for determining and meeting the needs of internal and external users in the design and optimization of the QMS to create efficiencies and support compliance requirements.
    2. Collaborate with trading bloc QMS expert users to ensure documentation mandatories are met, obstacles are overcome within the broad context of regional differences and similarities, where they exist.
    3. Evaluate regional change requests and projects keeping in mind the broader QMS architecture to improve efficiencies and user experience.
    4. Designs, creates, and directs implementation of workflows and applications within a larger framework and other relevant software application development tools.
    5. Responsible for management of the North American call center data and consumer complaint reporting function to include budget management/reporting. Manages and identifies opportunities for improvement within our customer call center software (Wilke-Thorton).
    6. Develops strategies for software, systems, methodologies and principles in support of organizational objectives.
    7. Evaluates naming, numbering, approval routing, document flow, etc. processes/conventions to identify potential problems and optimize compliance.
    8. Lead the effort to evaluate QMS version updates, understand the changes, conduct validation testing, and communication/training to all impacted users.
    9. The primary technical systems expert responsible for the highest level of complex and non-routine, technical problem solving.
    10. Develop and deliver QMS training to educate and guide a geographically and functionally diverse cross section of users to include Quality, R&D and external users.
    11. Coordinates with IT and companywide employees to educate and guide the implementation and maintenance of document management in all trade blocs.
    12. Designs project parameters, research and resourcing plans for future department projects, applies knowledge relevant to the project; includes composing budgets, identifying milestones and decision points, contingency plans, flowcharts, timelines and updates.
    13. Responsible for planning and managing approved global QMS budget.


    What You Bring to the Role

    • 5 or more years’ experience in a similar role leading or supporting EDMS/QMS design and administration within a consumer products or manufacturing organization.
    • 2 or more years’ experience managing consumer call center relationship/data management, ideal.
    • Engineering or chemical knowledge would be a welcome plus in this role.
    • Experience working in collaborative and diverse team environment.
