The Senior Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) is responsible for completion of financial consolidation as it relates to forecasting and budgeting. In addition, the role champions reporting and analysis which provides insights to guide leadership decision-making in support of business goals. 


This self-directed role performs various financial planning and analysis tasks, including management reporting and analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, Board of Director reports, capital planning, and special projects.  It is important to clarify the focus of this role is corporate consolidation and reporting – it is not an operational FP&A role.


This position reports to the Global FP&A Manager and is one of three key contributors to the Global FP&A team. There is frequent interaction with our Asia Pacific, EIMEA and Americas finance/accounting teams across various time-zones.

  1. Develop and maintain routine and ad-hoc reports for management that provide visibility to financial results and trends. Analyze financial results, comparing actual and year-to-date performance with prior periods, forecasts, and plans. Prepares material for monthly business reviews, quarterly presentations to management and the Board of Directors, and for external reporting. 
  2. Interact with global finance teams to assess needs and provide necessary analytical and business support. Prepare reporting and analysis of financial results related to the company’s business and financial objectives. Frequently coordinate with cross-functional business partners and use information and insight gained to recommend potential cost and operational efficiencies to maximize EBITDA.
  3. Support the company’s quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes. Develop and maintain forecast and budget templates. Supports the capital planning process including, but not limited to, the identification and prioritization of capital asset requests.
  4. Support the consolidation of segment strategic plans and development of long-range forecasts. Provide global analysis, recommendations and guidance that evaluates the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and business development.
  5. Independently construct moderate to complex financial models to analyze the impact of current and proposed company initiatives. Analyze, assess and report the overall impact of initiatives and how well they meet organizational and functional unit goals and strategies.
  6. Drive and execute continuous process improvements and best practices across the finance team to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of reporting and planning processes. Maximize productivity by automating reports, utilizing financial systems and improving processes as appropriate.
  7. Interacts with the independent public accounting firm and provides reporting and analysis as needed to complete quarterly and annual audits.
  8. Provides support and information as needed for the external reporting team including, but not limited to, the quarterly review of intangible assets and the annual impairment test and analysis for goodwill.


What You Bring to the Role

  • 3+ years senior FP&A experience in a publically traded company with over $400M annual net sales
  • 5+ years leading annual budgeting process with accountability for outcomes
  • 2+ years preparing consolidated reporting with foreign exchange calculations. Practical and/or theoretical understanding of foreign exchange treatment.
  • Ability to independently conceive and construct financial models, experience in identifying and analyzing business trends
  • Demonstrated experience successfully leading cross-functional teams on short and long-term projects at varying levels of impact
  • Experience preparing Board of Director reports
