    We are seeking a passionate, driven, entrepreneurial-minded National Accounts Manager to champion sales of one of the world's most identifiable brands, WD-40® Multi-Use Product and various other brands belonging to WD-40 Company in our Canadian market. 

     

    As a National Account Manager, you are not only a critical driver of the management of all selling and executional activities to achieve customer revenue and profit targets, but also a strategic thinker that will bring to life WD-40’s strategic vision  with your accounts. Your talents, drive and understanding of the retail sales environment will generate sales volumes and allow you to discover and capitalize on account opportunities to grow the business.

    Responsibilities

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Develop and implement sales strategies/plans aligned with corporate goals and objectives to deliver on Net Invoice Sales (NIS), Net Sales and EBITDA
    • Proven ability to clearly understand customers’ needs and apply broad based product knowledge (translating features into shopper benefits) to create and deliver solution driven value selling presentations.
    • Applies market, customer and consumer insights to execute marketing & trade channel strategies within new and existing customers to achieve established goals.
    • Support category strategy by leveraging strong analytical skills and syndicated data to successfully execute mutually beneficial annual plan. Pro-actively identifies and implements business-building initiatives that result in achievement of superior business results.
    • Ability to develop and substantiate business opportunities with pre-determined KPIs.
    • Accurate forecasting, retail audit and trend analysis will be critical to success
    • Solicit new key, direct customers while continuing to develop existing customer base thus contributing to overall growth in NIS. Implement and develop growth of new trade channels and business opportunities.
    • Manage trade shows and their promotional opportunities to maximize return on investment

    Qualifications

    What You’ll Bring to the Role

    • 5 years of progressive management responsibility
    • 5 years of key account management responsibilities in a CPG environment
    • Experience with Walmart highly preferred (National Account Manager, Planner, Analyst, or Buyer roles will be considered)
    • Must have high level of expertise in utilizing Retail Link, including but not limited to sales reporting, inventory management and trend analysis.  
    • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, sales and negotiating skills along with successful strategic planning and tactical execution.
    • University or College Degree or equivalent business experience
    • Ability to travel up to 30%
    • Current and valid driver’s license is required – company car provided
