    We are seeking a self-driven, strategic, tenacious and motivated Supply Chain Analyst to develop planning strategies and make policy, process, and systems recommendations to drive continuous improvement in the Americas Supply Chain Planning team.  In this role, you will develop original supply chain analysis and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain planning.  In addition, you will be responsible for inventory control to enable accurate financial reporting.

    Responsibilities

    What You’ll Be Doing

     

    SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYSIS – Partners with demand and supply planning to develop original analysis to drive continuous improvement and provide decision support.

    • Materials Planning Analysis
      • Drives the development and application of the Supply Chain Analysis module in the planning system to develop of analytically based segmentation strategies and system-based planning rules to improve planning efficiency & outcomes in both demand & supply planning. Partners with the Demand & Supply teams to provide value added analysis, insights and recommendations.
      • Performs what-if analysis to explore the impact of various policy changes & potential events.
      • Perform root cause analysis and identifies recommendations & strategies related to demand & supply processes as an integrated system.
    • Network Strategy
      • Partner with Operations, Sourcing & Materials teams in the development of network strategy to achieve stated objectives.
      • Monitor and analyze Materials team’s execution of network strategy through the development of KPI’s that support the network strategy. Evaluates trends & opportunities to improve the total landed cost of executing the supply network through changes in the way we plan and execute supply.  Generates actionable recommendations to the team to improve performance of stated objectives.
      • Analyzes the root cause of service risk and failures. Develops actionable recommendations and drives the implementation of changes to planning assumptions, processes, and/or policies to improve planning outcomes.
    • Capacity
      • Identify, track and analyze capacity constraints in the network. Identifies trends & events to anticipate potential disruptions to service and collaborates with cross-functional team to understand the root causes and develop plans to avoid service disruptions.
      • Develops & manages multi-year capacity planning scenarios that quantify the need for expansion of capacity.

    SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT – Responsible for the development of data sources, analytical tools and processes to enable supply chain planning & analysis efficiency.

    • Partners with IT and leads the continuous improvement and development of data sources & analytical tools to improve efficiency and quality of analysis and decision support.
    • Drives the continuous improvement and development of supply chain analysis software by applying expertise in processes, technology, and supply chain theory.
    • Acts as a system “super-user”, performing some limited software admin tasks, supporting training, on-boarding system users and providing support to other regional organizations as needed.
    • Drives process re-engineering efforts in Materials team to improve efficiency, accounting controls, and to support our IT systems development (including ERP selection & implementation)
    • Ensures that all processes are documented and maintained for business continuity.

    INVENTORY CONTROL

    • Develops processes, leads and executes the weekly/monthly inventory reconciliation with Distribution Centers and the semiannual physical inventory process to satisfy accounting requirements.
    • Manage and operate SARBOX controls and the monthly accounting close checklist related to inventory. Partners with Accounting on inventory valuation & control and leads monthly Excess & Obsolete inventory review with Accounting. 
    • Partners with Operations & Accounting teams to develop and continuously improve inventory control program & processes.

    INVENTORY MANAGEMENT – Responsible for the development, analysis and leads in the control of inventory budgets and forecasts.

    • Develops regular dollar-based forecasts and budgets for inventory. Monitors performance to budget and partners with the Materials Planning team to develop strategies to deliver on service and budget commitments
    • Analyzes inventory composition in aggregate and in detail to understand the causes for the creation and consumption of excess & obsolete inventory. Partners with the Materials Planning team to develop processes to manage and improve inventory composition.
    • Leads the team in developing strategies and initiatives to improve upon our inventory investment. Develops and monitors KPI’s to measure success of initiatives and strategies.

    Qualifications

    What You’ll Bring to the Role

    • 5-10 years of experience in supply chain analysis, in a systems-based planning environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or another analytical discipline. Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
    • Professional certification from APICs or similar professional association, preferred.
