Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As a pivotal member of our team, you will support brand activation activities and execute the digital strategic plan across all digital marketing and social media platforms across Distributor Markets (MD) in the Asia region. Your role will maximize visibility, enhance engagement, raise product awareness, build brand equity, and contribute to achieving sales goals through:

 

Social Media

  • Responsible for the creation, curation, and publishing content to create engagement, brand exposure, user acquisition, and insights including social media, blog posts and CRM/email campaigns plus other content as identified.
  • Responsible for monitoring, communicating, and engaging with consumers/end-users on a variety of online platforms (website: contact us, ratings and reviews, questions and answers, WD-40 Brand social media, etc.) to influence, acknowledge and educate as build brand engagement and loyalty.
  • Contributes to the development of a 6 – 12 month rolling social media calendar linked to channel plans in collaboration with Omni & eCommerce Digital Marketing Manager.
  • Develops KPIs and conducts semi-regular reviews, analysis and reporting on key metrics for Asia websites and MD social media channels ensure alignment with WDFC brand guidelines and digital strategy.

Digital Marketing

  • Manages WDFC Asia website and country page content management, working cross-functionally, cross-regionally and with third-party agencies to create content and translate as required to support WDFC brand SEO. Supports new website set ups via a third-party agency, updating sites and addition of pages.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of digital content such as WD-40 Multi-Use Product Demos, marketing materials, etc. for company and MD digital platforms.
  • Supports self-learning management initiatives such as Tribology University content development and delivery both online and in person.
  • Sources and liaises with influencers and guest bloggers to recommend as partners to support WDFC Brand SEO.
  • Tracks and analyses keyword performance, online competitor activity through customer and social media to identify and recommend areas for improvement, raise digital profile, visibility and engagement in distributor markets and align content with benchmark data to support WDFC brand SEO.
  • Analyses and tracks digital marketing platforms, reviews data lead key statistics and performance. Provides monthly reports for the Distributor team.
  • Reviews websites for possible errors and works with IT team and MDs to resolve, correct and continually improve processes.

Brand Activation 

Assist in trade school program planning and execution sponsorship events and tradeshows.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-year experience with digital marketing experience working with a consumer goods company in fast paced environment.
  • Proficient, broad and independent working knowledge of digital marketing and social media content creation and platforms including tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, social listening tools, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Digimind), trends, applications, and best practices.
  • Contribute hands-on social media experience in all stages of the content development including campaign management, workflow optimization, and the search and analyzation of data. Ideally lead content planning with an agency for social media calendars.
  • General understanding of multi country digital environments in relation to brand marketing, planning, and strategy in both trade and consumer environments. 
  • Experienced in producing compelling content, blogs and images for the website, newsletters, and social media platforms to successfully engage interest of target audiences.
  • Knowledgeable of brand and product lines, and willingness to teach channels, products, culture, and brand positioning.
  • Ability to independently generate marketing ROI reports and insights from qualitative and quantitative data to focus content creation to improve results.
  • Able to plan and manage advertising campaign budget.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin to communicate on a wide range of topics.  Average professional English reading comprehension, and grammatically correct written communication skills. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, CRM (Salesforce experience preferred) and Online reporting systems e.g. Google Analytics, SEOProfiler, etc..
  • Experience with Malaysia market is required, and working with other Asia countries is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other relevant fields, ideal but not required.
